Special Council for Saudi Investments in Sudan - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production
Abdulghani has received Tuesday in Khartoum the Saudi Businessman Sheikh Suleiman Al Rajhi .
Mudathir
said the President is personally following up Saudi investments and
continued to issue directives for providing all sorts of concessions out
of the outstanding bilateral relations between the two sisterly
countries, stressing that Saudi investments in Sudan have a clear impact
on the Sudanese economy.
Abdulghani
has hailed the efforts of Al Rajhi Group in the country and the
considerable progress of its agricultural and animal activities
including introduction of solar energy in the productive operation.
The
Minister has further called the group to go ahead with introducing
alternative energy in the production process along with speeding up the
project of processing dates in the River Nile as an important step
accommodating the big produce of dates and creating jobs opportunities.
He
disclosed that the technical arrangements of Al Rajhi agricultural
project in the Northern state as one of the crucial projects for
producing wheat.
He
renewed the call for the group to expand agricultural investment along
with the pledge of the Ministry to provide all facilities.
For
his part Sheikh Suleiman Al Rajhi announced that his group is planning
to produce wheat during the upcoming three years in a manner that is
sufficient to Sudan needs by a percentage of 50to 75%.
He outlined the need for gearing the potentials of the country to satisfy the need of food security for the Arab region.
He went on to say that he is seeking through his projects to create job opportunities.
The
Saudi investor stressed that he is also working towards realizing food
security and serving the local communities in a manner that will hold
high the value of investing in the agricultural sector to be of benefit
to the community.
He
further reviewed the progress of his investments in Sudan in the
agricultural and animal sector along with the group’s plan to develop
the experiment of alternative energy and generalize it in production
projects
Al
Rajhi has lauded the big assistance and support provided by the
Sudanese government to the investors from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
which reflects the deep rooted relations between the two countries and
will push forward more economic cooperation for realizing the initiative
of food security.

noteworthy that the Saudi Al Rrajhi Group has implemented a number of
agricultural investments in Sudan including the agricultural project of
efficiency at the River Nile State on an area of 300 thousand acres
producing wheat and fodder crops while the group is trending to expand
wheat production in the Northern State.
