Prof. Ghandour Appreciates India Decision to Exempt African Products from Customs - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production
The
 Foreign Minister, Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour, has expressed Sudan 
appreciation of the decision of India on exemption of the African 
products from customs fees, stressing that this step will greatly 
contribute to doubling the trade exchange between India and Africa.
This
 came in his address to the ministerial council which is preparing for 
the Third Summit of the Indian - African Forum, scheduled to begin 
Thursday.
In
 his address to the ministerial council, Prof. Ghandour reviewed aspects
 of the cooperation between Sudan and India at the bilateral and 
regional levels as well as the coordination between the two countries at
 the international organizations, especially on the issues of the 
International Law, the UN Charter, the principles of states' 
sovereignty, implementing the principles of democracy and the rule of 
law as well as the standing against hegemony and the unilateral 
sanctions that are being applied outside the framework of the 
international legitimacy for the sake of imposing political agenda on 
the African countries.
Prof.
 Ghandour has referred to the issue of reform at the United Nations and 
its institutions; top of them is the Security Council.
He
 expressed Sudan appreciation of the Indian experiment in fields of 
small and medium-scale industries, software, energy, petroleum and 
agricultural research.
He
 called for enhancing the banking system in the dealing between India 
and Africa by use of the African currencies and the Indian Rupee in the 
bank transfers.
Prof.
 Ghandour has affirmed Sudan government keenness to formulate policies 
and long and short-term plans and programs for realizing balanced and 
sustainable economic and social growth.
He
 referred to the factors that have negatively affected the economic 
situation in Sudan, top of them are the foreign debts, the coercive 
unilateral sanctions, the trade and financial embargo and the refrain 
from enabling Sudan to get its legitimate economic rights, a matter 
which had negative impacts on peace, security, stability and the 
peaceful co-existence in the country.
Prof.
 Ghandour pointed out that Sudan exerting great efforts in implementing 
plans and programs for expanding peace and realizing stability all over 
the country, especially in Darfur through the Doha Document for Peace in
 Darfur.
He
 said that the state is engaged on serious work for the unity of the 
national rank and holding extensive dialogue between all the Sudanese 
parties and the civil society organizations for the sake of boosting 
democracy, peaceful practicing of power and realizing good governance.
