Minister of Interior briefed on areas affected by rains and floods in Red Sea State - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production
The
Minister of Interior, Lt Gen Ismat Abdul Rahman Zain Ul Abdidin, was
briefed on Sunday on the recent floods and rains that hit areas of Haya,
Tahameem and Shidiab in the Red Sea state, affecting 443 families,
beside the animal and agricultural sectors.
The
Director of the Civil Defense Services at the Ministry of Interior, Gen
Hashim Hussein Abdul Mageed, has pointed out that the Minister of
Interior, Lt Gen Ismat Abdul Rahman Zain Ul Abdidin, was also briefed on
the number of households that have been affected and the partial damage
on the railway lines in the area.
The
Minister of Interior, Abdul Mageed said, has given instructions for
provision of urgent assistance to those areas, including food supplies,
and tents and plastic shelters for the affected areas.
The
assistance has been received by the affected areas, the spokesman said,
addin that teams on preventive diseases are also dispatched to the
area.
The
civil Defense official said the situation was now under control and
that the council for civil defense stands ready for any developments.
