Dialogue is the Only Way to End Sudan’s Crises: Movement Leaders - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production



Armed
movement leaders taking part in the national dialogue conference have
stressed that dialogue is the only and safest approach to achieving
security and stability in the country.

In
a poll published by Sudan News Agency (SUNA) on Saturday, the leaders
insisted the agenda of the dialogue represents the true path to
resolving Sudanese problems.

President
of the delegation from the Democratic Movement for the Sudan Liberation
Army Gen. Afrah Idris Ibrahim, stressed the movement is ready to sign a
final peace deal with the government if they reach an agreement and
provide the necessary guarantees to prevent bloodshed.

She said she carried a message from the movement to President Omar Al Bashir confirming they are ready for peace.

She
underlined the need for transparency and seriousness in handling the
dialogue to reach agreed solutions on the issues raised.

For
his part, head of the Popular Movement, Peace Wing, Daniel Kodi
attested the need for the national dialogue conference to address the
roots of the problems that lead to war and conflict.

He called on the Sudanese elite to resolve the identity issue.

The
President of Sudan National Liberation Movement Ali Hussein Dosa said
their participation in the dialogue conference comes with faith and
conviction of religious and moral values.

He
urged opposition forces and rebel movements to not ask for the help of
foreigners and called on holdouts to join the dialogue.
