Established
in 2015, the Korea Corner was built on the ground floor of the Center
of Information Technology and Linguistics of the Al Zaiem Al Azhari
University, (AAU-ITLC) in Khartoum, to introduce, show, teach, and
display Korean culture.
The ITLC was built in 2007 with a grant from the Korean International
Cooperation Agency (KOICA) which is the development aid agency of the
Republic of Korea.
The
Corner, which is run by AAU-ITLC, under the support of the Korean
Embassy in Khartoum, serves as a second home to those interested in
Korean culture and language and is available for both informal and
formal gatherings. The Corner also houses a computer room and Korean
studies library, which has books and magazines of Korean interest.
