Water Resources Minister Denies Burial of Radioactive Materials in Meroe Dam - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production
The
Minister said all imports of the Dam are carefully checked by the
concerned parties, an international consultant and the Dam
Implementation Unit. He announced that what was buried were the
remaining materials used in the Meroe Dam’s construction, under
supervision from the relevant groups.
He denied there are any radioactive materials buried in the Meroe Dam area.

Minister of Natural Resources, Irrigation and Electricity Mutaz Musa,
presented before Parliament a statement regarding the allegation of the
burning of 40 containers of radioactive material in the Meroe Dam,
coming from Asian states.
