Sudanese side was chaired by Vice President of the Republic Hassabo
Mohamed Abdul Rahman who arrived Monday morning while the Ethiopian
Deputy Prime Minister headed the Ethiopian side
The Sudanese Vice President and the Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister held a press conference at the conclusion of the meetings.
Hassabo said relations between Sudan and Ethiopia are strategic in all political, economic and security spheres.
The
Vice President said the High Economic Committee which was formed by the
two countries chaired by the Sudanese Vice President and the Ethiopian
Deputy Prime Minister along with a technical committee chaired by State
Ministers.
Hassabo
affirmed availability of the political will as well as the ample
resources and expertise in the two countries making it necessary to
benefit from these constants and the exchange of expertise for the
interest and prosperity of the peoples of the two countries.
He said Sudan is prepared for delivering commodities to Ethiopia via Port-Sudan
