Permanent Office of Arab Journalists Union demands lifting of American and Western economic sanctions imposed on Sudan - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production



The
Permanent Office of Arab Journalists Union demanded lifting of American
and Western sanctions being imposed on Sudan which impacted Sudanese
press and inputs of printing, Khartoum Declaration, which issued by the
Office, Monday said .


The
Declaration said that Permanent Office of Arab Journalists Union
discussed in its meeting which held in Khartoum during November 29-30,
issues of press freedom and freedoms in general , the situation inside
the Union and the general political situation in Arab countries.


It
added the Office discussed the sufferings of journalists in a number of
Arab Countries such as Yemen and Palestine where the Office condemned
the systematic terror of the Israeli State against the Palestinian
journalists which represents one of the most heinous types of terrorism
and denies the Palestinians' right to struggle for the sake of freedom
and independence.


The
Khartoum Declaration said that the general political situation has
negatively affected directly on situation of press freedom and freedoms
in general in Arab Countries as wellas on financial and morale and
legislative conditions of journalists work.


The
Permanent Office of Arab Journalists Union demanded the Arab Countries
not to take war against terrorism as pretext for imposing further
restrictionS over journalistic work and freedoms in general .
