crowd was addressed by representatives of civil society organisations,
who exposes the negative effects of economic sanctions and unilateral
coercive imposed by the United States against Sudanese people. Negative
effects include those on development, health services, means of air
transport and educational services.
For
his part, the Special Representative of the Human Rights Council
pledged to conduct a transparent report on the negative effects of the
sanctions after listening to the views and reports of civil society
organisations, the Human Rights Committee and all officials.
