Sudan Free of Detained Journalists - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production
The First Vice-President of the Republic Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Saleh
has announced Sudan’s records are free from any detained journalists. He
stressed the need for reducing customs and taxation imposed on the
inputs of journalistic work, so the press may undertake its assigned
role.
Bakri
argued that awarding opposing journalists international prizes is an
evidence of the expansion of freedoms offered to reporters in Sudan.
This was said while addressing the inaugural works of the meetings of
the General Secretariat and Permanent Office of the Arabs in the
Khartoum Journalists Union, yesterday.
He
demanded that Arab journalists deliver in their task of boosting the
nations confidence and increasing the spirit among Arab citizens. He
considers the Palestinian issue as the top priority in modern day
journalism.
He
stressed that journalists must play a role in removing the rift between
Arab countries and healing the wounds of the Arab nation, which is
going through complicated challenges.
Bakri went on to underline that Arab journalism must present serious material.
