CISSA Cyber Crimes Workshop Begins in Khartoum - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production
The event was addressed by Minister of information Ahmed Bilal on behalf of the president of the republic Omer Hassan Al Bashir,
The
minister pointed out that this age is the age of technology and
information; it is good thing to utilize technology “But criminals use
the negative aspect to commit cyber crimes” stated the minister, who
urged CISSA to overcome cyber challenges through cooperation, exchanging
information, organizing workshops and carrying out research and studies
to protect citizens and states.
He
also praised the efforts of CISSA saying “I congratulate you on
choosing vital topics,” because the globe depends entirely on technology
and information in running social, economic and political affairs. He
appealed to paying attention to youth whom sometimes commit crimes due
entertainment motives.
“The only way out of the cyber crimes is through high level of coordination and establishment of crime study centres.
On
his part the NISS Chief Lt. Gen. Engineer Mohamed Atta Al-Mawla told
participants that Sudan has translated the instructions of the CISSA
into action “Sudan hosted a number of distinguished workshops” said Atta
who went out to explain that cyber crimes were characterized by
crossing borders “It doesn’t recognize places or times” added the Chief.
The chief of NISS provided an advice to participants to combat cyber crimes impacts.
“Here
are some advice to you, fighting against cyber crimes mustn’t hinder
the process of developing technology and information also we need
genuine treatment to cyber crimes” continued Atta.
He urged member states to legislate law that provide proper judgement to prevent cyber crimes.
