New Approach to End Existence of Negative Forces and Terrorists - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production
The
member states of the Great Lakes Region, namely Angola, Burundi, the
Central African Republic, Congo DRC, the Republic of Congo, Kenya,
Rwanda, Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania and Zambia, most of them having rebel
movements against the legitimate governments in them, promoted the
leaders of these countries to call the need to unify their word to
prevent dangers these forces pose to their nations.
The
leaders agreed to refrain from harbouring the negative forces in their
soil, especially the rebel movements have become a major threat to the
security and stability in the region of Great Lakes; besides farming and
as well as livestock, and most importantly attacking both government
and civilians without mercy merely to remove governments from their
seats by force irrespective of consequences repercussions of their
actions.
In
Sudan those forces represent a real concern and problem for Sudan,
considering the country is suffering from the existence of rebel
movements against the government in Khartoum in neighbouring states.
As
for the current International Conference on the Great Lakes Region
(ICGLR) Chiefs of Security and Intelligence Services meeting in Khartoum
we believe that further efforts to eliminate rebel movements and
negative groups should be exerted by surrounding their movements and
obtaining information about sources of their funds, travel documents,
training, support and any other forms of support.
Despite
strenuous efforts the countries are making to fight these groups, their
operations continue as they get needed support from countries that wish
to see Africa engulfed in endless bloody conflicts to serve their
vested interests and control resources and waters, especially in east
and central Africa, which still remains virgin with untapped resources
and vast amounts of arable lands.
Given
constant support for rebel movements in Africa by evil-minded parties,
it remains difficult for local governments to end the existence of these
negative forces, whose operations are major threat to human and
livestock, as evident in Darfur, where rebellion has displaced more than
220,000 persons early 2014, who fled their homes in search of safe
havens and security after they face rape, killing and robbery by rebels
that use these tactics as means of dialogue.

In
last few months African leaders unanimously were agreed on not to
accommodate any movement taking up arms against legitimate governments
in their countries in order to reign in the activities of these
movements in the region, especially their operations are now restricted
to limited countries in the region refusing to comply with regional or
international decisions.
