Al Bashir: Gezira Capable of Realizing Arab Food Security - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production
President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al Bashir has renewed
state resolve to go ahead with widening processing industries and
non-export of any raw materials.
He
affirmed, while addressing yesterday in Hassahiesa the mass rally held
on the honor of inaugurating Sour Textile Factory in Hassahiesa, that
Gezira is capable of securing food for all the people of Sudan as well
as realizing the Arab food security objective noting that Gezira
realized the pride of Sudan that encountered America by cultivating
wheat saying that Gezira is a melting pot of the people of Sudan.
He
announced that the state is going ahead with cultivating rice, wheat
and lentils for export and realizing an added value to the producers.
Al
Bashir further renewed his pledge for the advancement of Gezira Scheme,
announcing that state determination to sit with the farmers to
determine the crops of viable return for cultivating them
He
went on to renew the state commitment to the obligatory of general
education for children at the age of six announcing holding accountable
any parents who do don’t enroll their children in the school stressing
that the state will avail a seat for every student at the level of
general and university education
He
called on the governor of Gezira to provide potable water for both
humans and animals across the regions of the state as well as breeding
animals and improving their species for realizing a surplus value to the
producers.
Al
Bashir went on to affirm that the inauguration of Sour Textile Factory
in Hassahiesa with its up to date technologies represents a real
achievement and a step in the progress of industry development in Sudan
and an addition to the current textile factories in Sudan.
“By this we make wide strides in the progress of development of this
important industry in Sudan which we own all the elements of its
success.” Al Bashir said
Al
Bashir added in the celebration in the presence of the two delegations
of Qatar and Turkey “ Today we inaugurate the high towering giant
industries in Sudan , the factory in its new look after extending to it
the hand of reform and introducing to it the technologies of textiles
and its modern machines.”
For
his part Governor of Gezira State Mohamed Tahir Eila said Sour Textile
Factory which is inaugurated today will provide job wide ranging
opportunities for all the people of Gezira and Hassahiesa people in
particular noting that the factory is a strong driving forces for the
farmers to extend again cotton cultivation.
