Khartoum College of Applied Studies Organizes Anti-Drug Week - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production
The
first day included a forum which was addressed by the Vice Chancellor
of the colleges who welcomed the guests, urging the students to distance
themselves from any kind of narcotics and to concentrate on academic
studies.
For
his part, Anti-Narcotics Department Technical Directorate
representative, Dr. Mohammed Adam Atim lectured the audience of the
parents on the negative impact of narcotics on the individual and in the
society.
In
the second day, Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed Hassan addressed the
students urging them to benefit from the modern technology in upgrading
their skills citing examples of Sudanese youth who became models to
follow suit.
The week also included fine and applied art galleries, music, theatre and books exhibition.
Al-Genaid First Annual Marathon
The
marathon took place on Thursday as one of the activities accompanying
the anti-drug week and was participated by all categories of the
society.
The
marathon was divided into four categories including professionals,
youth, children, and elders besides persons with special needs.
The
marathon kicked-off from Communication Tower through Burri then across
Al-Seteen Street up to the premises of Khartoum College of Applied
Studies.
At
the end of the marathon the winner were awarded the deserved medals and
the ceremony was addressed by officials from the colleges, Ministry of
High Education.
It
is worth noting that the marathon was sponsored by DAL Group, Jutin
Paints, Gabani for Computer, Genaid Poultry Farm, and Jiking
Restaurants.
