Government: Joining Arab Alliance Imperative in Principle and in Term of Interest - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production



National
Congress Party (NCP) Leading Figure, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail has
affirmed that Sudan’s bias and full support of the Saudi-led Arab
Alliance is a necessity in principle and interest.

He
called for the need to resolve Sudan’s internal problems and creating a
stable environment for utilizing its resources and developing its
economy.

He
said in smc media forum which was held yesterday under the title “Sudan
and strategic transformations in the Middle East that it is imperative
to consolidate Sudan’s role in the Arab League and figuring out
positions for the Sudanese diplomacy at the Arab and African levels.

He
went on to say that in the light of the changes in the Middle east
Sudan’s stand at the side of the Arab alliance led by Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia confirms that its interaction with the Arab issues is strong
stressing the need for Sudan to depend on the Arab markets particularly
after the going away of South Sudan petroleum along with creating a
partnership with the Gulf Cooperation Countries (GCC)in the light of the
economic blockade imposed on it.

Mustafa
outlined that the changes that occurred in the Middle East one hundred
years from Sykes-Picot Agreement which distributed the Middle east after
the demise of the Ottoman Empire and what is taking place in the middle
east requires Sudan to get out of its neutrality and stand by the side
of the Arab alliance in addition to having a role in Arab
reconciliations to restore the conditions in the region to its former
state.

For
his part Ambassador Sirj Al Din Hamid, the manager of International
Cooperation Administration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said what
is taking place in the Middle East is not a coincidence and the change
diplomacy must recognize the sovereignty of Governments over their
territories

He
noted that the positive changes is the return of Sudanese relations to
the Arab sphere stressing that it is the most important group because it
extend unconditional support to Sudan particularly the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia.

He
further said one of the positive changes is support by the Arab
countries to President al Bashir initiative of Arab food security and
also his participation in the Decisive Storm stressing that normalizing
Sudan’s relation with the Arab region is a guarantee of capitals inflow
let alone its formation of a strong security to its north eastern front

He noted that the policy of alliances have now became a necessity to handle the complicated turn of events.
