NISS Warns Foreign Organizations against Meddling in Darfur Referendum - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production

The
National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) has stationed a new
force of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) to perform specific tasks in the
northern desert of Darfur.

NISS
Director, Lt. Gen. (Eng) Mohamed Atta Al-Mawla Abbas has laid down the
tasks of these forces assigning them to prevent infiltration of ISIS to
Sudan from West Africa as well as blocking the way of the entry and exit
of Sudanese insurgency forces to Libya.

While
addressing the graduation ceremony of graduating 1057 of the Rapid
Support Forces, Abbas affirmed that Sudan is seeking to realize peace
and security in Libya and Sudan.

He
warned foreign non-governmental organizations operating in Darfur not
to intervene in the referendum operation scheduled to be conducted in
Darfur next April.

He
said the job of these organizations is merely a humanitarian mission
not related to the referendum, calling on these organizations not to
intervene in citizen options either to participate in the referendum or
boycotting it, considering the referendum as a Sudanese internal affair.

Abbas further enumerated the violations committed by the armed movements in Darfur, South Kordofan and the Blue Nile.

He
said the regular forces’ sticking to the cease fire is not out of
weakness but it represents power, dignity and commitment to the pledges,
vowing that the regular forces will stand aloof towards these
violations.

He
said the job undertaken by these forces is difficult aiming at
enhancing security and stability in Darfur, as well as working towards
closing the desert from rebels and extremists besides preventing the
organized crime, the cross-border crime infiltration into Sudan.

He
said the President of the Republic has extended his hands to all and
opened the doors for political reconciliation and dialogue for resolving
Sudan’s problems, as well as boosting peace and stability in it along
with saving what was spent in war towards building and reconstruction

Abbas
further renewed NISS commitment to the cease fire which was recently
extended by the President, noting that the rebels has misunderstood this
message, stressing that NISS will not tolerate messing with gains of
the citizens.

He
asserted that NISS will not accept the rebels’ threat to trade traffic
between Zalinjei and Nyala and robbing citizens’ properties in Rokaro
kidnapping children for recruiting them and posing threats to mining
regions in Barna and raiding the locations of the armed Forces in the
Blue Nile

On
his part Chief of NISS Operation Command, Brigadier Ali Al-Naseeh
Al-Galaa has disclosed that the said batch has entered the camp on June
six last year and undergone military training in light and medium arms
along with special operations and the bush project stressing that it is
highly disciplined and prepared for battle field.

Field
Commander of the RSF, Brigadier Mohammed Hamdan, has saluted the
martyrs of the regular forces saying that the RSF aim at establishing
the pillars of peace and stability

He
affirmed that it is a national force seeking to maintain peace and
order as well as securing cities and agricultural season in addition to
protecting citizens and their possessions

He called arms holders to resort to discretion and the homeland is for all.
