NISS: No Tolerance in National Economy Sabotage Issues - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production
National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) Director, Lt. Gen.
(Eng.), Mohammed Atta Al-Mawla Abbas announced a great campaign in River
Nile State to control the smuggling of gold, arms, drugs and organized
crime, warning that the NISS will not tolerance in national economy
sabotage issues.
Atta
said, while addressing the inauguration ceremony of NISS new
establishments in River Nile State, that the issue of gold smuggling
became a public security and that they are ready to control it in
coordination with other regular forces and the community.
Abbas
revealed higher security directives to prevent the transportation of
gold without prior permission from the concerned institutions. He
pointed out to the new articles inserted in the criminal law which are
recently endorsed by the parliament aim at preventing the gold smuggling
which is a national wealth that assist in supporting the national
economy.
He
said that gold production reached 80 tons worth US$4 billion while the
export is only 19 tons, calling on citizens to be careful towards arms
and drugs merchants who are working to destroy the youth and the
economy.
Abbas lauded the support of the citizens to the NISS in providing the information and advices.
On
the objective of the campaign, NISS Director said that it aims at
organizing the transportation of gold to be through the official
channels besides curbing the arms smuggling and controlling the
organized crime.
“Whatever difference in the sub-issues, we always agree on the national security issues” he said.
He affirmed NISS full support to the national political parties as long as their work is democratic afar from sabotage.
He
disclosed that the NISS new establishments will be open before the
institutions, organizations and political parties to practice their
activities in it, pledging the NISS sponsoring several establishments in
River Nile State including the completion of Eddamer Teaching Hospital
and the Olympic swimming pool in Atbara.
For
his part, River Nile State Governor, Mohammed Hamid Al-Ballah hailed
the partnership between the NISS and the citizens, affirming that it is a
productive partnership which will contribute in building the nation,
pointing out that the atmosphere of the national and communal dialogue
has moved to the stage of action, lauding the role of the NISS and its
continuous support to the institutions of the society.
It
is to be noted that the NISS in River Nile State has honoured number of
the River Nile State figures and leaderships during the ceremony.
