President Al-Bashir: Media is the Strongest Weapons in World of Today - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production



President
of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has called on the media
to be inspired by the lofty meanings of the Independence, lead the a
national building campaign for the interest of the nation and its future
and to be at the heart of the battle, especially that media is the
strongest weapon in the world of today.

Address
in the Sudanese nation Thursday evening from the Republican Palace on
the occasion of the 6th anniversary of Sudan Independence, President
Al-Bashir has praised the struggle of the valiant Armed Forces which is
defending the homeland and scoring great victories for the sake of Sudan
dignity and pride.

He
said that the Independence anniversary coincides this year with the
biggest manpower development project in Sudan history, which focuses on
enhancement of the services for the citizens starting with the basic
education and primary health care.

He
referred to the establishment of 500 new health units, rehabilitation
of 200 rural hospitals, establishment of around 20 hospitals and
advanced diagnosis and drinking water projects through funding from the
brothers in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait.

President Al-Bashir expected the irrigated cultivation area in the country to increase to four million feddans (acres).

He
affirmed continuity of the implementation of infrastructural projects,
such as roads and electricity with the aim to pave the way for
investment in the tremendous resources of Sudan in the fields of
agriculture, oil, mining, informatics and enhancement of the civil
service.
