First Vice - President Directs Ministry of Petroleum and Gas to Increase oil Production - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production

The First Vice - President of the Republic, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan
Salih, has directed the Ministry of Petroleum and Gas to increase the
oil production and to reconsider the means of distributing gas to the
citizens.

This
came during his visit Tuesday to the Ministry of Petroleum and Gas in
the context of his follow up to implementation of the State Reform
Program at the level of ministries and institutions.

The
First Vice - President also directed the Economic Development Sector of
the Council of Ministers to adopt measures for enhancing work at
Al-Foula elctricity generation station.

The
First Vice - President has appreciated the level of implementing the
electronic government project at the Ministry of Petroleum and Gas.

The
Minister of Petroleum and Gas, Dr. Mohamed Zayed Awad, has provided the
First Vice - President with implementation of his ministry to the
directives on the State Reform Program.

He said that his ministry will give priority in the coming period to increasing the oil production.
