Qatari Deputy Prime Minister Arrives in Khartoum - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production
Al-Mahmoud
and the accompanying delegation were received at Khartoum Airport by
the Minister of Investment, Muddathir Abdul-Ghani, the Minister of
Health, Bahar Idris Abu-Garda, the State Minister at the Council of
Ministers, Ahmed Fadul, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr.
Obeidalla Mohamed Obeidalla, and a number of senior officials.
In
a press statement at Khartoum Airport, Al-Mahmoud described the
Sudanese - Qatari relations as fraternal and strategic, indica1ting that
he is visiting Sudan to participate in the inauguration of services and
rehabilitation projects, follow up the implementation of other projects
and to meet with other officials in the state.
He
expressed his welcome to the initiative of national dialogue which was
declared by the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir,
hoping that the National Dialogue Conference will come out with results
that are agreed upon by all the people of Sudan.
He affirmed his country's support to the national dialogue in Sudan.
Al-Mahmoud has called on all the armed movements and factions to join the peace process.
He
said that the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur is open for any one who
wants peace, stating that the document was formulated by the people of
Darfur.
He asserted that Qatar is committed to boosting the peace and development process in Darfur and all over Sudan.
The
