Minister of International Cooperation, British Ambassador discuss boosting relations between the two countries - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production
Minister
of International Cooperation, Kamal Hassan Ali discussed during with
meeting the British Ambassador to Sudan the aspects of cooperation
between Sudan and the United Kingdom in various fields, especially in
developmental aid.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department at British Embassy.
The
Minister said in a statement to SUNA, that agreement was reached to
increase funds allocated to sustainable development and necessity of
adjustment of plans of British Agency for International Development in
Sudan to cope with the national plans.
He
affirmed importance of cooperation with Britain, saying we have agreed
to arrange meeting with British Minister of Higher Education and the
British Council to seek ways of providing support to the Sudanese
universities .
The
British Ambassador, on his part, said that he discussed with the
Minister of International Cooperation aspects of cooperation between
Britain and Sudan and the support UK can provide to Sudan in this
connection, saying we want to move from human development to sustainable
economic development.
The
British diplomat said " we have projects in Darfur and East Sudan in
areas of water, education and health and we want to improve our
relations with Sudan in all fields including the fields of development."
