Increasing Outlets at GERD Is Technical Issue: Ghandour - Rawan For Media Artistic and Production
Ghandour
ruled out in the joint Egyptian Sudanese Press conference the idea that
the dam will collapse unless decided by Allah in advance whereby the
company in charge of its construction has previous built more than 20
dams stressing that Sudan is maintaining the Egyptian interests
He
added that the question of increasing the outlets of the renaissance
dam is a technical issue and there is no room for political wrangling
over it calling on the Egyptian media to maintain the relation between
the two countries and the journalist precession must precede the
importance of relations adding that they hope they would have quiet
media between the two countries.
He
further elaborated that Sudan complaint to the United Nation on its
entitlement to Halayib and Shalatin is an old one and is renewed every
year and there is no new complaint in this regards.
He
added in the press conference with his Egyptian counterpart that the
crisis of Halayib and Shalatin dates back to the year 1958 during the
referendum on the United Republic of Egypt and Syria noting that
Egyptian forces entered Halayib in that year during the rule of
President Gamal Abdulnasir and Sudan resorted to the United Nations
Security council but the Egyptian envoy demanded withdrawal of the
complaint because the issue will be settled amicably and afterwards the
Egyptian forces pulled out of Halayib.
He
added that every Egyptian is sure that Halayib is Egyptian and every
Sudanese is sure that Halayib is Sudanese so we renew the complaint
annually to preserve our right.
Ghandour
said the talks with the Egyptian side is best than ever before between
the brothers stressing that their relation with Egypt is excellent
despite the casual ups and downs sometimes as he put it.
He
pointed out that the view points are identical with the Egyptian side
highlighting his agreement with Egypt over most of the issues put
forward to the forthcoming summit.
Ghandour
asserted that the bilateral talks held with the Egyptian Foreign
Affairs Minister were fruitful and positive describing the talks held
today as “ important and positive’ outlining that they are in their best
state between the brothers on which view points are identical
At
the Arab regional level Ghandour said the views are identical on the
issues of Syria, Libya, Yemen and others including the issue of Iran and
